Husqvarna – Originally founded as a weapons foundry, Husqvarna is a Swedish company that has been around for over 300 years at this point. They manufacture a variety of different high-end outdoor power tools including lawn mowers, string trimmers, and lawn edgers. Husqvarna currently markets three different gas powered lawn edgers which range in price from $320 to $3200.
John Deere – Everybody knows the green tractor as the trademark of John Deere. The company was founded in Illinois to manufacture plows. Ryobi – This company is based out of Japan and their products are exclusively sold at Home Depot in the United States. Yard Machines – Yard Machines are made by MTD, also known as Modern Tool and Die company. It was founded in Cleveland in 1933 manufacturing perforating dies and a machine for making window channels. Today, they manufacture outdoor power equipment for landscaping and snow removal. Their two models of edgers are both gasoline driven walk-behind models, and start at around $250.
